New CD Release! 'Streams of Yellowstone - A Secret Garden' music release is happening at the Gallatin County Fair in Bozeman from July 21-25. Streams of Yellowstone continues the development of the American tone poem characterized by its use of orchestra and jazz. It is fresh, imaginative and exceedingly personal, with the composer's profound appreciation of creation, matched with his artistry in performance. The addition of Native American flutes in this project connects the rich heritage of this region with its natural surroundings.A native Montanan, Doug Higgins is a composer and brass player of ambient nature music. His music is intriguing and mystical, painting a portrait which 'Lively Times' says is a 'vast movie-magic panorama.' |
